Taking things out of context.

  Theres this funny song by Lily Allen, "Not Fair". Its lyrics, when taken out of context, can mean so many different things.

For example:

I look into your eyes,
I want to get to know you,
And then you make this noise,
and apparently its all over

This sounds like a boy who refuses to open up to his girl, and kicks up a fuss every time his girl "wants to get to know" him. And he dumps her. Bastard.

Its not fair,
And i think you're really mean,

And this sounds very much justified. You got that right sista! That mean bastard.

And at this point, you get annoyed with the typical British fondness for euphemisms. C'mon, its more than just "not ok", its DOWNRIGHT DESPICABLE. Say it like it is girl!

At this point, you're thinking, okaay. A little too much info perhaps. But still. Backtracking? NO! Girl you are not letting your emotional vulnerability cloud your judgement. Forget him. Plenty of fish in the sea.
