The theme was bollywood, and the original plan was to have it in the new open hall. He had a hunch it probably wont work out and it turned out to be true, as much as his board members tried to push for it to happen, bureaucracy, red tape and paperwork simply got in the way. Nevertheless, tickets were selling like crazy, its hard to imagine that tickets for an IU being held in school priced at Rm 18 could sell out even before the actual day itself. All 200 of it. So no matter what actually happened on the day itself they were assured of a handsome profit. Which probably is the only gauge of any importance of an event's success. Especially considering last year's IU made a loss.
We haven't even considered the people who walked in and bought tickets on the spot.

Registration did a great job

Nevertheless, despite having to cram in the small hall(which is more like an elongated classroom), the show still had to go on.

This is how 200++ people in the school hall looks like.

Pn Kany and Cik Farah. No need to chase screamo bands off stage this year!

Airina and her flower.

Who says guys cant multitask. Had to shuffle between MC-ing and being president the whole night. Of course no one ever said you had to do both very well.
Himself and Puteri were the MCs for the night(hes effectively given up on solemn vows to never mc again), and they actually kicked off the night right on time(another landmark achievement). Give or take, a few(ahem) minutes.

By the way, Puteri is a kick ass awesome singer. See the cue cards shes holding, can you guess what he's thinking right about now? He will not say the "d" word.
This was the opening act of the night, he was awestruck seeing them perform hound dog during audition where they saved it for the last, but here their best song came first and damn, it was so, so awesome. Best band to have ever performed for an IU. Outlawz.

Facemelting guitar solos by Ethan.
Then there was a simple speech by Pn Kany followed by the IU director's, Vivien Yeow. He is seriously running out of superlatives to describe his board members. Ruthlessly efficient. Literally has everything done like, yesterday.

Then the introduction of (insert superlative here) 08/09 BOD members

Kept everyone waiting this dude.

Kept everyone cheering this dude.
And then there was dinner. Which he had none of. Went the whole day without lunch or dinner. MC-ing sucks.

He knows Christopher's hand when he sees it.

He will never MC again.

He will not say the "d" word. He wont.

Pn Chua happy. Enough said.
Then, the world witnessed, for the first time ever, future superstar, his hot co-emcee perform on stage! If I aint got you by Alicia Keys, Ms Keys would have been proud of that rendition really. Puteri should be snapped up by a record label by now.

The darker it got outside, the blue-er it got inside

You heard her here first people.

The dance by Carmen Beh and her crew.

The blue lighting in full effect.

For a while, we could almost forget this is a school hall.
Sharmila, flexing her vocal chords

The installation of the 09/10 BOD. Hence ends his term. He is now Ex President. Joining the likes of Sean and Evan. Its probably going to be a while until theres another guy president, for now it'll be Daphne Khoo. Prepare to suffer the pelan operasi's and the school administration. Have fun.

The rest of the bands provided the entertainment for the night, Rubber Bandage and Tks

MJ tributes here and there.
Then the inevitable encore performance from the Outlawz. Crowd loved them. So did Pn Halimah, the new teacher.

Guy on the right did a pretty decent MJ impersonation, what with the hat tossing and the moonwalking and the crotch clutching. These guys are unbelievable.
Then the highlight of the night, the crowning of Mr and Ms Bollywood.

Nominees for the guys

Tiru getting a little carried away here. Who knew Vibbeshanan was so popular?

Had a lot of fun with the female nominees. Puteri was too hot to not be nominated. The look on her face was priceless. Probably the only perk of being an MC, being able to pull stunts like this. All of them were beautiful but the crowd cheered loudest for Puteri and Vibb. Clear winners.

Deserving winners.
And finally, the only bollywood-ish performance of the night, Hafizah, Sharm, and Ren's dance.

Just to make a point, what Fiza is wearing is more pink than it is purple. Khosh is as wrong about this as she was about the Kadazan costume.
DJ Jose played his mix as the night winded down with random people showing off their moves.

Getting jiggy with it.

Pn Halimah. Most sporting teacher ever.
And so ended an awesome night, and an awesome term. No disasters. No one after his head. Raked in the dough. $$$$. Hats off to the best BOD ever.
This is why the Interact Club is the most (insert superlative here) club ever.
